There are basically three types of dishwashers:
- Freestanding - which has its own coloured front (normally white or Stainless Steel)
- Semi - integrated - Controls are on the face of the door but a panel to match your kitchen can be "integrated" to the face
- Fully - Integrated - The quietest of Dishwashers, as a door matching your kitchen covers the whole front panel. Controls are placed on the top of the door.

Dishwashers do not need to be only placed on the floor under the bench. As the most families access the dishwasher more in one day than the oven - ergonomically it makes sense to raise it at a height that saves bending. There are also the Dish drawers available and the advantage of these that the drawers can be split so they are both at an accessible height, though it does require double plumbing. |
